AprilApril Cameron is the mother hen of Anderson Magazine. She had the dream and desire to create a magazine to share all of the good news about Anderson County, and so she did. April serves as the Publisher and Editor.

April comes from a background of marketing, public relations and journalism. Born and raised in South Georgia, April came to Anderson in 2015 and has immersed herself in the community that she has grown to love, appreciate and enjoy.

As the past president of the Junior League of Anderson County, April got very involved in charitable organizations in the county. She now works with the United Way of Anderson County and its Women United group, is a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Anderson and a graduate of Leadership Anderson.

When April isn’t finding the next great story about Anderson County, she is usually running the taxi for her son Cooper to some ball field or for her daughter Avery to either a horse barn or a volleyball court. You can also see her frequently sipping on a glass of red wine while trying to get an obnoxious amount of pet hair off of her clothes from Georgia, the stray cat who hit the jackpot, or Miller, the pound puppy who found his forever home.
