Anderson County is unmatched regarding a good time and some southern hospitality. Let’s look into some more spots in Anderson that allow your four-legged friends to come along for the ride!

UP on the Roof
314 S McDuffie St
Anderson, SC 29624

UP on the Roof is a rooftop restaurant and bar that has three different locations (Anderson (SC), Greenville (SC), and Alpharetta (GA)), open daily. Their Anderson location, which this description will be focused on, is relatively new, recently going on one month of business. The atmosphere of UP is described by Macy Taylor, the general manager, as “laid-back and fun.” UP’s laid-back and fun atmosphere and stylish indoor or outdoor seating options allow customers to enjoy a night out with friends, a romantic evening, or even just some relaxing time by their fireplace to themselves. The drink menu has a wide spread of alcohol, including hand-crafted cocktails, beers, and wines. Their website also offers seasonal menus for dine-in, brunch, and desserts specific to the Anderson location.

As for customers’ pets, UP’s outdoor seating area is available for leashed pets to relax and enjoy the views. Upon arrival, furry friends are guaranteed water and a good time hanging out with their owners! According to Taylor, the pets’ presence fits perfectly with the laid-back atmosphere and allows customers to have relaxed fun with their pets. There is a pet policy on their website that customers should check out!

Foobar’d Bar & Grille
5420 SC-187
Anderson, SC 29625

Foobar’d Bar & Grille is Anderson’s only Tiki Bar & Grille open Wednesday-Sunday. This Tiki Bar & Grille is a new, locally-owned business open for seven months. Foobar’d’s atmosphere is very town-friendly as it has weekly events such as Women’s Wednesdays, Happy Hours on Wed-Fri (4-7 PM), Brainstorming w/ Brian, live music for local musicians, and more! Both indoor and outdoor seating allows customers to enjoy a night out with their families and friends. In addition to the outdoor portion of seating, Foobar’d has a room for boat trailer parking for the customers coming straight off the lake. Their food and drink menu is available until closing and offers various dishes (vegetarian options) and alcoholic beverages (wines, beers, and liquors).

As for our furry friends, Foobar’d allows pets to accompany owners in their outdoor seating area. The owner, Brandi Guerzsey, holds pride in the presence of pets as an animal lover, and there are many services that Foobar’d offers for pets. There are hooks on the poles outside for leashes, deserts (sundaes/peanut butter lick pads), and water, they are currently developing a menu for pets come summer (food/desert) and a kennel where the pets can run free.
