March Editor’s Letter
March and luck seem to go hand in hand. And when you think of how lucky we are to live in the South in March you really get hard pressed to wish for much more. Just look around you and take in everything that you are lucky to have in your life. I feel so lucky to have this opportunity to keep Anderson Magazine going and bringing you all the things you have always loved about it and adding new things we hope you will love.
As St. Patrick’s Day approaches things will really be greening up around the area. And, with this warm spell we’ve been having much of nature will be joining in and greening up. This is a great time to get out and about and check out some wonderful local walking trails, tracks and parks. You can read about a few of our local faves in the Great Places to Get Out and enjoy the Spring article.
When you think of lucky you might think about our Person to Watch – Stephanie Morehead, and how lucky she is to have built her business from a traveling boutique to an expanded brick and mortar now, but it’s not by luck that happened. She’s our person to watch because of her drive and determination. She is a great inspiration to anyone who has a dream of owning their own business.
Lucky and downtown seem to fit as well. By that I mean how lucky are we that we have such a quaint, unique, and thriving downtown now? All the new businesses, you can read about just a few more again in this issue, and all of the older businesses locally owned and run, continuing to grow and prosper.
Consider helping some of the many rescued animals get lucky as many of our shelters are overflowing, read more about this in our pet article. There’s more than one way to help them out so even if you can’t adopt or foster be sure to see how else you can help these overburdened rescues.
As we incorporate some changes and make adjustments, we appreciate your patience and your feedback. Our mission is to continue to bring you all the things you love about Anderson and so much more. This month why not make it your mission to get out and about and spread a little luck and love around Anderson! While you’re out be sure to check out some of the many local businesses and places mentioned in the March issue.
May your pockets be heavy, and your heart be light. May good luck pursue you each morning and night.
